In 2000 our owner, Tommy Baudoin, decided to chase a dream and began the extensive project of developing the beautiful 33 acres of farmland into his home and vineyard.  The vineyard occupied by 7 acres in grapes  and a natural fed pond of one acre, sits  just over the Cabarrus & Stanly County line in Rowan County.  Tommy learned the vineyard business from the ground up by taking advantage of every learning opportunity received. After nearly ten years of hard work, Morgan Ridge Vineyards was officially ready to offer their first bottled product.

Using only our grapes, we  currently produce about 1500 cases of wine per year, while hosting events such as wine tastings, dinners, lunches, and special private events. Our full-service kitchen and catering service on site helps make Morgan Ridge the perfect site for any occasion. One specific reason people love scheduling their events with Morgan Ridge is the simplistic, yet beautiful views of the Uwharrie mountains and peaceful surroundings of the property itself.

The vineyard received the  2012 NC Winegrowers Excellence Award out of 450 vineyards presented by the NC Winegrowers Association.
